ABOUT THE AUTHOR
About the Author
Isaac Blake is a writer, advocate, and lifelong ally to the LGBTQIA2-S+ community. His journey as an observer, participant, and supporter began decades ago during his time in San Francisco, where he stood with the queer community during the HIV and Hepatitis C crises. These early experiences shaped his resolve to amplify the voices of those living beyond traditional norms—and inspired him to write In What Direction.
As someone who witnessed the evolution of LGBTQIA2-S+ rights from the margins to the mainstream, Isaac brings both historical perspective and heartfelt sincerity to his work. He has seen the pain caused by erasure, misunderstanding, and isolation—and now chooses to be a beacon of clarity, compassion, and guidance for readers young and old.
Currently residing in San Diego, California, Isaac remains actively engaged with one of the country’s most vocal and inclusive queer communities. He continues to write, speak, and advocate for broader understanding of gender fluidity, non-binary visibility, and self-affirmation. In What Direction is his gift to the next generation—a heartfelt invitation to live authentically and unapologetically.
